While the band draws on a wide range of influences in their writing, Diesel May’s music is a sound all their own. Hints of classic, southern, and blues rock mix with a more modern, groove oriented hard rock edge to create a gritty, swagger drenched style of rock and roll that can only be described as Diesel May.
Diesel May released their debut album in March 2009 and has since had the opportunity to open for such acts as One Bad Son, Nashville Pussy, Quiet Riot, Slaughter, City of Fire, The Mudmen, and Dr. Hook. The 2012 Boonstock Festival also saw Diesel May hit the stage, playing between the bands Hell Yeah and Volbeat.
With a 2012 EP release under their belt as well, 2015 saw the release of the band's second full length album "Holy Hounds and Hell Water". Diesel May continues to be a hard rocking presence in the Central Alberta music scene and strives to put on the most memorable, entertaining, and high energy shows in the area. Diesel May is what real rock and roll is about.
